1 制定未來5年發(fā)展的戰(zhàn)略計(jì)劃;
2 評(píng)估現(xiàn)有的商業(yè)項(xiàng)目、服務(wù)以及供應(yīng)鏈實(shí)施情況,保證我們向著領(lǐng)先品牌的目標(biāo)進(jìn)發(fā);
3 設(shè)計(jì)多種新穎的零售模式以及面向消費(fèi)者的促銷活動(dòng)和宣傳推廣活動(dòng);

Dear Dealer,
I am writing to you to introduce myself, as the new President of Gibson China, and to give you an overview of some of the strategies and plans that we are developing for the future of our business in China.
I am from Canada, and have worked most of my >20-year career for 2 companies –KPMG (financial and management consultants) and adidas. While my educational background is in finance and accounting, my roles over the past 8 years have focused on international business development, strategic business planning and commercial management. Through my international career, I have been based in 7 countries (including China and Korea in Asia) and completed business projects in over 30 countries throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia. Most recently before moving to Gibson, I was the Managing Director of TaylorMade adidas Golf for Greater China, based in Shanghai, for their start-up and rapid development.
Having played guitar and been a music lover from a very young age, I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity now to lead the business development of the world’s number one musical instruments company, in the world’s most growing and dynamic market.
I wish to confirm for you that Gibson is absolutely committed to the China market for the long-term, with all our great brands –Gibson, Epiphone, Kramer, Baldwin, etc.
It’s no secret and I won’t hide from the fact that there appear to be negative rumors about our company and business, driven by misinformation from those that clearly do not want us to succeed. Our company did go through downsizing this year, just as almost every company around the world went through in response to adverse global economic circumstances. Also, we have over the past couple of years completed a strategic repositioning of our supply chain for Pianos. Shifting our production to China has allowed us to most cost-effectively produce Pianos developed through American heritage and innovation, and be nearest to the world’s largest piano market.
As evidence of our increased commitment to the China market, in addition to my recent appointment to direct the Piano and Guitar commercial business in China, I am also pleased to announce the appointment of Ron Hartfeil as the new General Manager for the China Operations from later this month. Ron is a veteran of the Nike supply chain throughout Asia, including China. A former competitor, we now unite to provide the best quality products to the China market with the most competitive service and commercial offerings. My goal for our business in China is to be no less than a leader in the Piano business and the dominant player in Guitars.
Some of the projects that are currently underway with Gibson China since I arrived in July:
l Development of our strategic business plans for the coming 5 years.
l Evaluation of our commercial programs and our service / supply chain performance levels to ensure that we are moving towards leadership.
l Design of many exciting new retail business models and consumer promotions / events.
l Establishment of our business policies to ensure that all partners are treated consistently and fairly, ie collections / credit management.
In due course, some of the programs / changes will be communicated through your Business Development Manager, while others will communicate through me. Meanwhile, I truly look forward to meeting with you, if not in your market area in the near future, then at the China Music Show in October, where we will have a strong presence.
I am confident that you will soon be feeling the energy and the exciting plans that we are working on at Gibson China to create a strong, profitable and long-term business with our top partners in China.
Please feel free to contact me anytime to express any of your thoughts, questions and concerns. I look forward to working with you towards our successful future.
Sincerely,
Mark Klingspon
President
